In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, Jan offers highly personalized counseling and therapy tailored to each clients individual needs.  Applying complimentary therapeutic approaches including Emotional Freedom Technique, cognitive behavioral, solution focused and client centered approaches to therapy,  Jan treats mood disorders, anxiety, grief, parenting, trauma, abuse, communication and self definition issues among others. She believes approaching mental health issues from an inclusive perspective of body, mind, spirit and environment provides even more choices for alleviating emotional distress and creating healthy lives.

Jan Goodison Comeau, LSCSW, LCSW has been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker for over twenty years.  She works with individuals, couples and families, treating adults and adolescents with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues.  Jan grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, attended Southwest High School and graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Journalism.  She then moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she lived for 24 years, raising four children, and completing her Masters in Social Work at Highlands University  She practiced clinical social work in New Mexico before returning to the Kansas City area in 1999.  Living in Santa Fe exposed Jan to a variety of holistic and alternative healthcare approaches to healing and wellness, many of which she has utilized  in her own life.
